Our core philosophy is centered on promoting and maintaining one’s optimal health. Clichéd as it may be “prevention is always better than cure”.

Our approach focuses not only on providing premium supplements and natural medicines, but also on a variety of specialized health foods which help promote optimal living.

he shop was established in 2009 by Byron Yan. The Yan family has been using traditional Chinese herbal medicine from way before they came to South Africa in the 1930’s. Byron’s grandfather introduced the family to Chinese herbal medicine and from an early age Byron had a keen interest in the subject. In 2005 Byron started working in a health food store in Rosebank and has been running various health shops ever since. Having discovered a new passion in his life, it ultimately resulted in the establishment of Yan Health.
