Fortify immune response during infection with three proven herbs:
Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata) is an Indian herb used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. It has a favourable effect on the immune system and reduces the symptoms of most types of upper respiratory tract infections, mainly due to the immuno-stimulatory activity of the andrographolide constituent.

Andrographis has been shown to be beneficial in the support of bacterial and viral upper respiratory tract infections, by reducing the duration and severity of symptoms. In addition it has been shown to significantly reduce the symptoms of sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis.

Echinacea is well known for its immune modulating and enhancing properties and can help support the treatment of infections in general, but especially upper respiratory tract infections and even sinusitis.

Echinacea enhances numerous aspects of the immune system such as increasing the number of circulating macrophages, activating natural killer cells (lymphocytes) and increasing the production of T-lymphocytes. Echinacea also supports lymphatic drainage during infections.

Elderberry prevents the replication of all certain influenza viruses, due to the lectin content of elderberry, which inhibits the viral neuraminidase enzyme, thereby inhibiting the ability of influenza viruses to enter cells and replicate. Elderberry also assists as a decongestant.

N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is the stable form of cysteine, an amino acid commonly found in food. It has mucolytic properties to loosen and liquefy mucous in the respiratory tract. NAC acts to reduce mucous viscosity by splitting disulfide bonds linking proteins present in the mucous (mucoproteins).
