Find an activity that helps you to de-stress and unwind. Some people exercise to do this but whatever works for you is what’s best. Cultivating growth in whatever religion or spiritual practice is also of benefit when dealing with stress. Here are some ideas to help with managing stress levels:

  1. Walking around the block or neighborhood while looking at things in the distance can help take one’s attention off of one’s problems and bring one into the present.
  2. Regular Exercise especially cardio but also weight training helps to combat stress.
  3. Yoga done regularly is a great way to let go of stress.
  4. Regular spiritual practice (no matter what faith you belong to) will help with personal growth as well as dealing with stress.
